The team believes it may have been used to trap large prey, similar to ancient hunting traps found in other parts of the world. This discovery, known as the Blinkerwall, is the first of its kind in the southern Baltic region. The structure was uncovered during a seafloor mapping expedition in 2021, and further investigation with underwater cameras confirmed its man-made origin.
