Fitbit has officially sunset open groups, adventures, and challenges on March 27th, as previously announced in February. Users who did not download their trophies before the deadline have missed their chance to do so. Fitbit cited “limited use” as the reason for removing these features. The removal of open groups and challenges is a significant loss for longtime Fitbit users, as they were popular social features that motivated users to hit their daily step count and connect with like-minded individuals. Unfortunately, these features are now gone.
