Blank Street Coffee’s shops have become a sensation in New York City, attracting customers with their affordable lattes and cold brew. Now, the chain is looking to expand its customer base by introducing a subscription program.
The Blank Street Regulars program, which was launched to the public this summer, has already gained around 5,000 paying members. Additionally, there are 4,000 people on the waiting list eager to join.
Subscription models have been popular among startups for over a decade, as they provide a steady stream of revenue and make the businesses more appealing to investors. Even established companies have adopted monthly subscriptions to attract loyal customers seeking a good deal. For instance, Panera Bread’s Unlimited Sip Club offers members “free” coffee, tea, caffeinated lemonades, and fountain sodas every two hours for a monthly fee of $11.99.
Blank Street, which started as a coffee cart in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, three and a half years ago, has seen tremendous growth since then.
