Elon Musk’s SpaceX broke its previous annual record for orbital rocket launches, achieving 96 successful missions in 2023 with an average launch pace of every four days.
SpaceX accomplished 91 launches this year using its Falcon 9 rocket and an additional five with the Falcon Heavy, surpassing its previous annual record of 61 orbital launches in 2022. To put it into perspective, SpaceX launched Falcon 9 more times this year than in the entire first decade after the rocket’s debut.
Throughout the year, SpaceX also achieved its 250th orbital rocket booster landing and successfully launched and landed a single rocket 19 times, continuously pushing the boundaries of rocket reuse.
