A shocking report from⁤ Homelessness NSW and Impact Economics has revealed that⁣ three‌ million Australians are now facing the risk of​ homelessness, marking a ⁢63% increase since 2016.

Through an ⁤analysis of household data including income,⁤ support ​systems, ⁤and rental ⁢stress, the report uncovered that in 2022, there are now ‍3.04 million Australians at risk of homelessness⁤ compared ⁢to ‌1.87 ⁢million ‌in 2016.

Frontline services are struggling to keep up​ with​ demand as one in every ⁣five days they ‌are unable to assist families⁣ with children​ due to being overwhelmed.

Individuals without children face rejection every‍ other day while unaccompanied young people ⁤and children without ‍shelter are turned away almost every tenth day.
