Russian soldier Alexander Belov, stationed in military unit 09332 in Abkhazia, found himself handcuffed to a bed after refusing to participate in the war in Ukraine. The incident was reported by Astra, citing Belov himself.
“The Military Medical Commission referred me for sanatorium-resort treatment, but now the 7th military base wants to send me to the Southwest Operational Zone. Due to my health issues, I declined. In response, they handcuffed me and are taking me against my will,” he explained.
In a video circulating online, 25-year-old Belov can be seen sitting on the bed with his hands restrained. According to sources close to him, the footage was captured the day before his disappearance on August 16.
Earlier this year in April, Evgeny Leskov from Primorye was also forcibly taken to Ukraine after refusing deployment. The 48-year-old mobilized man had various health problems as confirmed by his wife.
