Renowned Architect Lanfranco Cirillo Joins Sberbank as Senior Vice President after Designing Putin’s Lavish Palace in Gelendzhik

Renowned ‌architect Lanfranco‌ Cirillo has been appointed as the Senior Vice President of Sberbank, as reported by​ RBC. He will oversee the bank’s “Construction” division,‌ managing all⁣ of its building projects.

Cirillo has been actively working in Russia since the early ‌1990s and⁢ became‍ a Russian ⁢citizen⁣ in‌ 2014. He is famously known for his involvement in the development of the controversial “Putin’s Palace in ‌Gelendzhik” project, ⁢which gained attention in Alexei ⁤Navalny’s investigation. The palace, ⁣valued at 1.1 billion euros by FBK, was claimed by Cirillo to be built for the company “Stroygazconsulting”‌ rather than the Russian president.

In ⁢2022, Cirillo’s assets in Italy worth ⁣141 million euros ⁢were seized due to ‍suspected tax⁢ offenses, and a year later he faced investigations for smuggling and falsifying documents.
