The NCAA Women’s Championship showdown between Iowa and South Carolina made history by attracting a record-breaking 18.7 million viewers on ABC and ESPN.
This game reached its peak with 24 million viewers, marking it as the most-watched NCAA women’s college basketball game since 1992. ESPN reported an 89% increase in viewership from last year’s championship and a staggering 285% surge from 2022.
The championship game, where South Carolina triumphed over Caitlin Clark-led Iowa, became the most-watched basketball game, surpassing both men’s and women’s college or professional games since 2019.
