NATO Confirms Ukraine’s Possession of Almost All Promised Combat Vehicles by Allies

According to NATO’s top military commander, General Christopher G. Cavoli, nearly all of the combat vehicles promised by Ukraine’s Western allies for their expected spring counteroffensive have arrived. In his testimony before the House Armed Services Committee, General Cavoli stated that “over 98 percent of the combat vehicles are already there,” and he expressed confidence that the necessary matériel has been delivered and that a pipeline will be maintained to sustain operations. These comments represent General Cavoli’s most extensive remarks on the war in Ukraine and America’s military support of Kyiv since he assumed the European and NATO commands last year.

The United States and NATO allies have provided Ukraine with significant artillery and ammunition for the long-awaited counteroffensive, and officials are now optimistic that the supplies will last. This is a change from two months ago, when concerns were raised about the adequacy of the supplies.
