McDonald’s Announces Nationwide Availability of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts by 2026

McDonald’s has⁣ announced that it will be selling Krispy​ Kreme doughnuts at⁤ its restaurants nationwide⁢ by ‍the end of 2026. The rollout is set to begin in ‍the second half of this year and will⁣ take approximately two⁤ and a half years as Krispy Kreme expands its distribution to accommodate the partnership. During this time, McDonald’s will ⁢be the exclusive fast-food partner for Krispy Kreme in⁢ the ‍U.S.

Krispy‌ Kreme utilizes a “hub and spoke” model to efficiently produce​ and distribute its treats. Production hubs, ​which can ​be‍ stores or doughnut factories, send freshly made doughnuts to retail locations like grocery stores and gas stations on a daily ‌basis.

This partnership with‌ McDonald’s ‌presents a significant ‍opportunity ​for Krispy Kreme to broaden its reach. As of December 31, the doughnut⁣ chain delivers its products to 6,800 third-party stores. Meanwhile, McDonald’s operates approximately⁢ 13,500 restaurants ⁤in the ⁣U.S. and‌ has plans to open 900 new‌ locations nationwide by 2027.
