Authorities are on the lookout for a 25-year-old individual following the tragic stabbing of a woman in Bradford city center while she was out with her baby in a pram.
West Yorkshire police are urging the public to report any sightings of Habibur Masum, a man from the Oldham area.
The victim, a 27-year-old woman who remains unidentified, was attacked around 3:20 pm on Saturday in the Westgate area of Bradford. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
Fortunately, the baby in the pram during the incident was unharmed. Investigators suspect a prior connection between the victim and the assailant.
DCI Stacey Atkinson expressed the community’s shock over the incident and assured ongoing police presence in Bradford for further investigations and patrols.
Masum, described as an Asian man with a slim build, was last seen in distinctive clothing. Authorities recovered a knife from the crime scene, urging caution if he is spotted.
