Manchester Airport Incident: Two Men Arrested for Disrupting Police Operations

According to the Crown Prosecution Service, two individuals are facing charges related to a disturbance at Manchester airport​ that occurred in July. Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, from Rochdale, is accused of⁢ multiple offenses including causing bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker. Meanwhile, Muhammad Amaad, 25, also from Rochdale,⁢ is‍ charged with causing bodily harm ‌as well.

Both‌ men are scheduled to appear at Liverpool magistrates court on Thursday 16 January 2025. GMP’s chief constable Stephen Watson expressed his approval of the CPS’s ⁤decision ⁤to press charges against⁢ the individuals involved in​ the incident.

Watson mentioned that one‍ officer who was suspended due‌ to the incident has now been reinstated. ‌He emphasized the importance of allowing‍ the legal proceedings to unfold without interference or bias from external sources.

The chief constable acknowledged⁤ that there has been significant public interest and discussion surrounding this case but urged for a fair and impartial handling of the situation moving forward.
