LUNR Stock Soars Following Successful Odysseus Moon Landing by Intuitive Machines


Intuitive Machines’ Nova-C lunar lander, known⁢ as “Odysseus,” made history by becoming the first privately developed spacecraft to land on the moon and the first U.S.⁢ spacecraft to soft-land on the moon in over 50 years. The successful landing caused Intuitive Machines’ stock to surge by​ 16% in trading on Friday.

Based in Houston, Texas, the ⁢company confirmed that the IM-1 mission lander was standing upright⁣ and transmitting data back⁤ to Earth.⁣ Tim Crain, Intuitive Machines’ CTO and IM-1 mission‍ director, ⁣expressed his excitement, stating, “Odysseus‌ has found his new home.”

Following the news, Intuitive Machines’‍ stock⁢ initially soared ​by 40%⁣ before closing⁣ at $9.59 ⁤a share with a market valuation of ‌about $1 billion.
