‘Lightyear’ Trailer Hints at Time-Displaced Pixar Adventure

Buzz Lightyear places his years of academy coaching to make use of in his spinoff journey.

We bought a contemporary trailer for Pixar’s Lightyear on Thursday, and it suggests the CGI animated film will put Buzz out of time because of an experimental hyperspace journey. This origin story for the character who impressed the Toy Story motion determine is scheduled to hit theaters on June 17.

Our hero (performed by former Captain America Chris Evans) and robotic companion cat Sox (Peter Sohn) will apparently be marooned on a hostile planet 4.2 million light-years from Earth and 60 years sooner or later, and should attempt to discover their manner house via house and time.

He’s joined by a ragtag band of amusing recruits referred to as the Junior Zap Patrol, voiced by Keke Palmer, Dale Soules and the ever-present Taika Waititi. Their mission is threatened by the villainous Emperor Zurg (James Brolin) and his military of robots.
