Kazakhstan authorities have made a decision not to extradite Alina Gorshenina, a Kyrgyz citizen detained in June at the request of Russia. The woman was released following this development, as reported by the human rights project ”Net Freedoms.”
Human rights activists revealed that on August 8, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Kazakhstan rejected the extradition request from the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office for Gorshenina. Subsequently, she was granted release from custody by the court.
