While polls show Trump leading Harris in Florida, Democrats see value in Emhoff’s visit due to the competitive US senate race between Rick Scott and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, focusing on issues like women’s healthcare rights and Amendment 4.
Emhoff criticized Trump’s stance on women’s rights and Roe v Wade, igniting support for Amendment 4 among the crowd. Mucarsel-Powell also vowed to protect healthcare and reproductive freedom if elected.
Emhoff addressed various other key issues such as gun violence, the economy, immigration, and the Republican agenda during his rally in Florida.
