Israel is currently conducting its largest military operation in the occupied West Bank in over twenty years, with the army using live ammunition and tear gas, leaving a path of destruction in its wake.
Reports indicate that in the village of Zababdeh, south of Jenin, three individuals lost their lives when Israeli forces attacked a car during the early hours of Friday.
According to Israel’s military, an aircraft targeted a “terrorist squad” in the area after an encounter with security forces, resulting in a car being set ablaze.
The armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Jenin Battalion of al-Quds Brigades, reported engaging in intense clashes with Israeli soldiers in Jenin.
Among the casualties was Wissam Hazem, identified by the Israeli army as the head of Hamas in Jenin, although there has been no confirmation from the Palestinian group.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that Israeli forces obstructed ambulances from reaching the attack site, as reported by Palestinian news agency Wafa.
