Reports indicate that Israel has once again launched an attack on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of at least six individuals. The Lebanese side, as cited by Reuters, confirmed the incident and stated that a building in the central district near the parliament was targeted.
In addition to this, three rockets struck Dahieh, a southern district of Beirut where Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s bunker was destroyed last week.
Prior to the ground invasion announced by the IDF on October 1st, Israel had been conducting airstrikes on Lebanese territory for two weeks. These bombings led to the elimination of numerous top Hezbollah commanders, including Nasrallah. Lebanese authorities report that approximately one thousand people have lost their lives due to these attacks.
On October 1st evening, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps retaliated by launching 180 ballistic missiles at Israel. One casualty was reported as some missiles hit Israeli soil. Debris from these rockets was found in various cities including Tel Aviv and Beersheba. The Iranian side justified their actions citing Nasrallah’s death as a motive for their strike.
