SpaceX is now offering a new Starlink kit called the Starlink Mini, designed to be compact and portable. Users can easily carry it in a backpack to access SpaceX’s satellite internet service from anywhere. Priced at $599 upfront, the Starlink Mini is $100 more than the standard dish kit. Users must already have a standard service plan and can add on the Mini Roam service for an extra $30 per month. This means that residential customers will pay a total of $150 per month if they opt for the Mini.
SpaceX mentioned in their communication that they are working towards making Starlink more cost-effective overall. The Mini kits are currently available in limited quantities in regions with high demand. Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, recently praised the Mini as a “great low-cost option” on X (formerly Twitter).
