After receiving an nameless tip-off on Facebook, Georgie found that intimate images of her have been being shared on-line.

She remembered who had taken the images – and later an ex-partner confessed to sharing the pictures. But Georgie then came upon that the wording of the present laws geared toward tackling the abuse meant that his confession could have been the factor that protected him.

Georgie has been campaigning with teams just like the End Violence Against Women Coalition and #NotYourPorn to see the laws round intimate picture abuse modified.

She spoke to the BBC forward of the federal government’s long-awaited Online Safety invoice, as a result of be revealed this week, which the federal government have stated will handle an enormous listing of on-line harms, together with intimate picture abuse.
