Widodo, also known as Jokowi, recently attended a joint summit of Arab and Muslim leaders in Riyadh, where they condemned Israel and called for a ceasefire.
Indonesia, being the most populous Muslim country in the world, has witnessed significant protests in solidarity with the Palestinians and a boycott of businesses associated with Israel.
“Indonesia appeals to the US to take more action in putting an end to the atrocities in Gaza,” Widodo expressed in the Oval Office during the meeting with Biden in the White House, with a roaring fire in the background.
“A ceasefire is imperative for the sake of humanity.”
