Hull community comes together to honor the memory of beloved stabbing victim Claudia Kambanza

The family of Claudia‌ Kambanza, a 22-year-old woman⁢ who tragically lost her life after being stabbed on Hinderwell‌ Street in⁣ Hull, paid tribute to ‍their beloved ⁣daughter, describing her as “kind and bubbly”.

The suspect, Mateus Johannes, 28, has been charged ‍with Kambanza’s murder and the possession of a bladed article‍ in a public space. He is currently ⁢in custody and will appear before Hull crown ⁣court on 28 March.

Kambanza and Johannes, originally from Namibia, ⁤were known⁢ to have a⁤ joint TikTok account with over 1,000 followers, where they⁣ shared videos ⁢about their relationship. ⁣The family has set up a GoFundMe​ page to raise £15,000 to bring Kambanza’s body​ back to Namibia.

Supt Al Curtis, of Humberside police,⁢ released a ‍statement to assure the⁤ local community about safety ⁢in‍ the area after⁤ Kambanza’s​ death, stating that​ the incident is believed to be isolated and there is no ​wider risk to⁤ the ​public.
