Meta is trying to attract and retain users on its Horizon Worlds VR social network by introducing a new feature called “quests.” Users can complete in-game missions to earn virtual rewards such as clothing. The feature is currently in beta testing through a game called Giant Mini Paddle Golf, and those in the test group will see a new “Quests” icon in their Identity Panel. Meta plans to roll it out to more users over time. While currently limited to a single experience, Meta may offer quests in other areas of Horizon Worlds to give Quest VR headset users more to do.
