Hamas condemns Israel’s proposal to establish a buffer zone in Gaza as a “flagrant violation

Hamas official Osama Hamdan has condemned⁤ Israel’s plan to create a ⁢buffer zone along its border with Gaza as a “crime” and “blatant aggression” against‍ the Palestinian people. ⁣According to⁤ media reports, Israel is⁤ seeking to establish ⁣a ‌security belt by demolishing residential⁤ blocks and⁣ civilian infrastructure.

Hamdan, based in Lebanon, stated that‍ these actions are a ​violation of Palestinian land and holy places. He also ⁣criticized ⁣Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling him “delusional” and warning that Gaza would become the “cemetery”‌ of his plans. Additionally, he‌ accused the ⁢United States of supporting the Israeli military machine and complicity in crimes ⁣against Gaza.

Israeli media reported that‌ the military aims to create a one-kilometer-wide buffer zone to protect Israeli communities near Gaza. Footage of controlled demolitions on the ⁣Gaza side of the border was shown on ⁣TV ‍channels, following an‍ attack that resulted in the ⁣death of 24 ⁣Israeli ⁣soldiers.
