Fanatics retaliates against DraftKings’ allegations of corporate espionage

Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, based in New York, is fighting⁣ back against DraftKings in ⁣a legal battle over‍ the hiring of a top executive.

Fanatics accuses DraftKings of distorting reality and character assassination of ⁣its former senior vice president, Michael Hermalyn, in a legal brief‍ filed in U.S.⁢ District Court in Massachusetts.

Hermalyn accepted a ⁤position as the president of Fanatics VIP and head of‌ Fanatics’⁢ Los Angeles office in February, reporting directly to CEO Michael Rubin.

DraftKings‌ is ‍suing Hermalyn, ⁣alleging he ⁤downloaded ‍confidential company documents and tried to recruit‌ other employees away from DraftKings.

Fanatics claims DraftKings has a “culture of retribution” and is making an example ‍of⁣ Hermalyn to instill fear in other employees.
