Recently, the Russian Ministry of Justice designated several Telegram channels and individuals as “foreign agents” on August 16.
Among those added to the list were the channels “BRIEF Important”, “BRIEF”, “Nezygar”, and “Sirena”, along with journalist Renat Davletgildeev and Andrey Pavlov, founder of Zenden Group holding.
The Brief channel includes journalists Vladimir Dergachev, Ekaterina Vinokurova, and Dmitry Kovalenko, with Kovalenko being the sole member listed for “Nezygar”.
The Ministry stated that these individuals were involved in disseminating materials from foreign agents to a wide audience, spreading misinformation about Russian authorities’ decisions and policies. Channels like BRIEF also allegedly published false information to tarnish the reputation of the Russian army.
Following this designation, propaganda messages from Ekaterina Vinokurova’s Telegram channel began appearing shortly after each other.
