Dutch police have shot and wounded at the very least two folks after rioting erupted in Rotterdam over new Covid-19 measures.
Protesters threw rocks and fireworks at them and set police vehicles ablaze.
Hundreds of protesters had gathered to point out their anger at authorities plans for a Covid vaccine go, and a ban on fireworks on New Year’s Eve.
The Netherlands imposed a three-week partial Covid lockdown final week as circumstances surged.
Seven folks have been injured and at the very least 20 arrested in an evening condemned by Rotterdam’s mayor as “an orgy of violence”.
