Meta has been continuously enhancing Threads’ compatibility with the fediverse for the past year. In a new update, users can now access more detailed information about their followers and interactions with individuals from different servers across the fediverse.
Previously, Threads only displayed replies from Mastodon and other servers, as well as notifications for likes on posts from other fediverse apps. However, users were unable to view specifics about their followers from those platforms. This is changing now, according to Adam Mosseri.
Following this update, individuals who have chosen to share on the fediverse through Threads will have access to a comprehensive list of their followers from various servers and can view their profiles. This feature will provide Threads users with a better understanding of their audience on Mastodon and other applications.
Although support for the fediverse in Threads is still somewhat limited this latest update marks a significant step forward in improving user experience.
