Citigroup has informed its employees that they have the option to work remotely for the final two weeks of December, as per CNBC sources.
From Monday to December 29th, employees can log in remotely from anywhere within their country of employment. This means that this week will be the last in-person experience for many staff members this year, according to individuals familiar with the matter.
This policy applies to hybrid workers, who constitute the majority of the bank’s 240,000 employees, as stated by the anonymous sources.
Unlike last year, when this benefit was introduced, employees are now concerned about CEO Jane Fraser’s extensive corporate reorganization and whether their jobs will still exist next year. Citigroup has announced that Fraser’s review of the third-largest U.S. bank by assets will be completed by the end of March.
