Amazon seeks court dismissal of FTC lawsuit alleging ‘monopolistic practices


Amazon has filed a motion in the Western Washington district court⁣ to request the dismissal of the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) antitrust lawsuit against it. The ‍FTC, along with 17 state ⁣attorneys general, sued Amazon in September, alleging that the⁤ company engages in monopolistic practices that are unfair to both competitors and consumers. Amazon argues that the FTC has not presented ⁢evidence to ⁢support the​ claim that its practices‍ have led to⁤ higher​ prices or harmed ⁣consumers, as reported by Bloomberg.

The FTC’s lawsuit accuses⁢ Amazon of ‌using illegal​ tactics to eliminate competition.
