Aid for Gaza Arrives in Egypt as Israel Intensifies Attacks on Khan Younis

Israel has escalated its attacks on Khan Younis in southern Gaza and has ⁣deployed tanks westwards, ⁢leading to accusations from Jordan that its field hospital in the city has been severely⁢ damaged by nearby shelling.

The Jordanian army stated on‍ Wednesday that it holds⁤ Israel accountable for a “blatant violation ‌of international law” due to the destruction⁢ of the facility.

Meanwhile,‌ in the city, individuals at ​and near ​Nasser ‌Hospital were‍ forced to evacuate as Israeli tanks approached the area overnight following a statement from the Israeli army claiming that they⁢ had come under fire in the vicinity.

Palestinian⁢ health officials reported that at least seven ⁤people were ⁤killed by Israeli ⁣airstrikes that caused damage ⁤to homes ⁣near the hospital.

The Palestinian‍ health ministry has stated that ⁣a total of 24,448 individuals have been killed in the ⁢Israeli assault on Gaza since October 7.

According to an Al Jazeera tally based on official figures, at least 1,139 people,⁣ mostly civilians, were killed⁣ in the ⁣Hamas attack on southern Israel ⁢on October 7.
