After multiple delays, Amazon’s NFT marketplace is set to launch on May 15, according to reports.

The official launch of Amazon NFT Marketplace, which was postponed last month due to technical and commercial issues, is reportedly happening this month. According to a Web3 enthusiast and NFT trader and collector with the Twitter handle @moritz_web3, the marketplace will launch in 12 days. However, the Twitter user noted that there is a lack of official details about the project, and nothing is “100% confirmed” yet. The NFT collector also claimed that Amazon would launch its own private blockchain compatible and interoperable with Avalanche, Ethereum, and Chainlink, with plans to add more blockchains soon. The Amazon NFT Marketplace will reportedly launch in the United States first and would be officially called “Amazon Digital Marketplace,” with a subsequent debut in other parts of the world happening in the future. The marketplace aims to simplify NFT purchases, allowing users to pay with fiat using their credit card and buy NFTs with physical products delivered to their doorstep. The Twitter user compared the launch of Amazon Digital Marketplace to the launch of Coinbase NFT marketplace, noting that Amazon has a far larger user base and has come up with a solution that makes the user experience far better. Despite rumors circulating online, Amazon has not made any official statement about the NFT Marketplace.
